Mark Burnett'Survivor' producer Mark Burnett will take over the reigns at 'HGTV Design Star' from 495 Prods, the Hollywood Reporter confirms.

The British producer will be expected to "infuse [the show] with fresh perspective and innovative ideas that will serve as a blueprint for a successful fifth season," according to HGTV senior vice president of programming Freddy James.

Burnett introduced competition-based reality programming to American audiences. In addition to his work on 'Survivor,' Burnett has produced everything from 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader,' to 'The Apprentice' to MTV's 'Bully Beatdown.'

In 2007, his work on 'Survivor' won him an Emmy for Outstanding Non-Fiction Program (Special Class).

We're sure that he already has much in store for the re-'Design.' But just in case, here are some ideas for Burnett:

-- A three month challenge, in which contestants will battle IEDs and insurgent attacks as they redesign Baghdad to "give it a better flow."

-- The team will come together as a group to design a defense mechanism for MTV that will successfully keep Kanye West from being able to storm the stage at the next Movie Awards show. Turrets and lasers are permitted.

-- The former design nerds face off with their former high school antagonists, where they must design a booby-trapped home for them, gaining revenge and experience in the field of design as a weapon.

-- The designers are unknowingly placed on a remote island in the Pacific, where they must use tools of the land to design the hottest new huts on the market.

-- In an attempt to cross-over from 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?' the contestants will compete against 10-year-olds in a litany of challenges, many of which include 40-somethings getting eye-rolls from little kids that think this whole thing is "lame."

-- Donald Trump guest stars in an "Everyone is Fired" episode of 'Design Star.' The concept writes itself.
