Whoopi Goldberg says she's "bored" with the Tiger Woods story

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 4th 2009 3:00PM
I often find Barbara Walters to ramble a little too much on The View, but she was absolutely right in what she said to Whoopi Goldberg the other day. Whoopi faked walking off the show because the panel was talking about the Tiger Woods controversy, saying she was "bored" with it (followed of course by clapping from the audience) and that what happened with Woods "doesn't put food on my table." Walters had an answer for that.

Whoopi, it's called "Hot Topics" for a reason.

I understand where Whoopi is coming from, and maybe she isn't the best "mesh" for the View. The idea for The View was excellent, in that it involved women from different age groups and ethnicities talking about current events, but what it amounted to was a bunch of vacuous ninnies gossipmongering about celebrity scandals and pop cultural fads in a somewhat mindless manner.

First of all - I agree 100% with Whoopi. It's none of our business, it's his and his wife's and I am totally bored by it.
Second of all - Please, please, PLEASE take Barbara Walters off the View. I don't care if she did start the show - she rambles and makes no sense most of the time, misspronounces names of guests, repeats what someone else just said, or constantly interrupts with nonsense, or forgets what she was about to say. She has lost it and needs to leave before she embarrasses herself even more!

I totally agree with Whoopi, and if Tiger Woods was a Politician whose behavior impacted my life it would be different, WE love to see everyone else's dirty underwear so we do not have to wash our own. And after Barbara had an affair with a married man (i do not care if it was fifty years ago) she should be the last to lead the charge.

Everyone has an opinion. And it's what makes life interesting.

The story with Tiger Woods has taken on traction BECAUSE he refused to talk about an odd accident, which somehow snowballed into something else. It's unfortunate what we're learning, and like it or not, it's going to be with us for a while.

Whoopi Goldberg is becoming an embarrassment to The View. If she's not interested in something (which she usually isn't), she just sits there moping and rolling her eyes. If the segment is called Hot Topics, she's supposed to be discussing everything that's in the news whether she likes it or not. You'll notice when the topic comes to drugs, she's right on board.

Well I can understand Whoopi's point. Its not like this is the first time the show has talked about it...I am tired of the story myself and I am not being asked to chat about every salacious detail for an hour everyday. Right now everyone is just rehashing well worn territory and until Tiger, his wife or his mistress decides to give an interview there is really nothing of interest to say about this story anymore.
And Barbara is just a gossipy old crone which is why she loves crap like this.

This site is basically a rehash of EW.com stories I've noticed.
