The Emmy Award-winning Chang, who has previously served as a correspondent for ABC News' '20/20,' 'Good Morning America' and 'Nightline,' will replace former newsreader Chris Cuomo on the morning show.

According to a source familiar with the situation, Cuomo is in active discussions to co-anchor the ABC's '20/20' with Elizabeth Vargas -- as well as take on an expanded reporting role in the network's news division.

Cuomo was also previously in the running to succeed 'GMA' co-host Diane Sawyer, who is leaving the series to take over retiring Charlie Gibson's top spot as the nightly 'World News' anchor. The network is widely expected to name George Stephanopoulos -- currently anchor of 'This Week' -- as Sawyer's replacement as 'GMA' cohost in an announcement later this week.
