All Bob wants for Festivus

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 9th 2009 4:02PM
SeinfeldIt's the most wonderful time of the year. With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you "be of good cheer" and hearts glowing and parties for hosting and everything else that Andy Williams sings about. Oh, and everyone celebrating the season with big metal poles and the airing of grievances towards their family.

Here's my wish list for what I want to see this year. Happy Festivus everyone!

  • Lost to end on a good note. I don't ask for the entire series to make sense or even for every single question to be answered, but I do want the ending to be satisfying. The final season does scare me, though, if rumors (spoiler spoiler spoiler!) that the bomb reset everything and all of the dead characters are alive again are true. That could be too "Bobby Ewing in the shower," you know? We'll see. I have high hopes.

  • I'd like Aaron Sorkin's new show to be great and last for several seasons. I loved The West Wing and Sports Night and even thought Studio 60 had a ton of strong points and potential, so this show (whenever it premieres, could be 2010, could be 2011) is one that is going to get me and other fans excited.
  • Comcast to run NBC the right way.
  • The Retro TV Network to expand, with better prints of shows, more advertisers, and every tool they need to give TV Land and Nick at Nite a run for their money. The shows on RTV are better and the network deserves to be watched more.
  • Amy Sedaris to get her own show. Last year she signed a deal to do a sitcom but nothing has come of that yet. Any show would be good, though: comedy, cooking, do-it-yourself, talk show. Weekly, monthly, quarterly, whatever.
  • Jon & Kate Gosselin to win $900 million dollars in a lottery, so their kids have enough money for the rest of their lives but also so none of them have to be on television ever again.
  • And as I've said in previous Festivus lists, I want the following shows to be released on DVD: Ed, Eyes, and Private Eye. Please?

Hey Bob... here's an idea... why don't you put any spoilers after the jump after warning people there are spoilers before the jump.

I'm really hoping you haven't ruined my experience of the final season.

I mean seriously!

It takes $900 MILLION for 8 kids to live well enough to stay off TV for the rest of their lives?

I want to live in YOUR world...

It would take 900 million because any less the parents would just spend it on themselves. Bad haircuts and Ed Hardy shirts don't pay for themselves.
