Frank the Entertainer Looks for Love in His Parents' Basement

by Leonard Jacobs, posted Dec 9th 2009 1:58PM
VH1's reality TV's programming has scraped so much from the bottom of the barrel that there's actually a hole in the bottom (hey, we can see Bravo's spring lineup from here!). But here's a touching story for you: Frank Moresco, a.k.a. Frank the Entertainer -- the hormonal crooner and breakout star of season 2 of 'I Love New York' and both seasons of 'I Love Money' -- is getting his own VH1 reality show entitled 'Frank the Entertainer ... in a Basement Affair,' which premieres Sun., Jan. 3 at 8PM.

But here's a touching story for you: Frank Moresco, a.k.a. The show attempts to answer the eternal question: Can a man find love from his parent's basement?

After a round of auditions in major cities across the country -- and the Jersey shore -- VH1 selected 15 women to make up Moresco's harem of possibilities. There's just one twist: Instead of living in some souped-up song-filled mansion, they're living in Moresco's house. Or, to be precise, they're living in the house belonging to Moresco's parents, Susan and Gary. You got it -- The Entertainer, whose age has been variously listed as 30, 32 and 34, still lives at home. Presumably he's been out of work since quitting his gig driving a UPS truck.

Now, let's be fair to the dude. Moresco's good-looking, and he'll do absolutely anything on- or off-camera (the photographs of him shrimping New York's toe are as ubiquitous as Levi Johnston's, um, body), so he makes for great reality TV.

But will 'Frank the Entertainer' actually entertain? Anybody's guess. Let's hope he just keeps singin':
