What You Missed Last Night: Jon Stewart vs. Gretchen Carlson

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 9th 2009 3:32PM
Whatever your political persuasion, this is pretty funny. Jon Stewart first notices that a poll on FOX doesn't quite, well, add up, and then he notices a pattern in the way host Gretchen Carlson acts. She's smart, but is she playing dumb?

Since Hulu videos can't be streamed internationally and Daily Show clips are also on Comedy Channel's web site, which CAN be streamed outside the US, wouldn't it be nice if you linked there instead? Yes, it would.

I'm a fan of Fox News - the NEWS segments anyway, but I"m with Stewart on Gretchen.

As far as the poll goes, my guess is that the last item was 6% instead of 26 - but the F&F crew doesn't come across as all that swift.

I know morning shows are supposed to be somewhat light, but they focus to much on being goofy.

Wait, Scott, are you suggesting that (gasp!) A COMEDY SHOW IS NOT BEING OBJECTIVE? Good Lord!

Joy Beyher is a constant stream of stupid statements as is VP Joe Biden, but yet Stewart doesn't do a segment on them....which he could nightly. Also Stewart has been hard on Republican senators for stalling the health care bill, but not a peep when Harry Reid compared them to people that wanted to uphold slavery and women rights....HUH couldn't be some sort of agenda is the Mr. Stewart

OH MY GOD! Are you telling me that an opinion show is biased? A show on a channel with comedy in the name, not news?? That's crazy! I expect my comedy to be more objective than Hannity!

Stewart just did a segment on Harry Reid's slavery comment, but hey, why should the facts stop you from making unsubstantiated claims about a show you don't watch? Must be them evil mainstream media libruls.

Ignoramus is the name of a character in a 17th Century farce, who happened to be a lawyer. Gretchen baby, read ALL the defiinitions, before you stick your size 6 in your mouth, ignoramus means ignorant person, not ignorant lawyer.
