Snoop Dogg returning to One Life to Live

The Dogg is back. That's right, rapper Snoop Dogg is returning to One Life to Live on February 24... and you know what? I'm excited about it. Believe it or not, but when it comes to musicians dropping into a daytime soap, Snoop's was one of the best. You do know that singers often are written into a soap for a song and scene or two, don't you? Well, they do. Oftentimes, however, it's just awkward and unreal. One Life to Live, on the other hand, does it really well. The last time Snoop was there, back in May, he did a couple of songs and interacted with the cast. The writers made it that Snoop had a past history with Bo, so they could get into it a bit in a funny way. When Snoop returns in February, he and Bo wil mix it up again. The Dogg will also do a song from his new CD, Malice N Wonderland.
You might wonder what a rap star like Snoop Dogg is doing on a soap opera at all. I mean, granted, it's not his demographic. He's not likely to sell a faszilla more albums by appearing on the show. But, apparently, Snoop's a secret soap fan. Or he has a fondness for the shows. According to him, "I've been a fan of One Life to Live since I was a baby because my momma always had it on. It's cool to come back and hang with Bo Buchanan and the people in Llanview and 'rock out with them."
By the way, you have to admire Snoop as a promoter. He's got this OLTL thing coming up. He was on Conan with Carl Reiner last week. And you can't miss him on ESPN with Mike Ditka. The Dogg is everywhere.
