We know a new version of the Michael J. Fox '80s flick Teen Wolf is coming to MTV. Now we have some names for the cast as well as a glimpse of the premise.

Apparently, MTV has cast two guys named Tyler as both the central protagonist and antagonist. Tyler Posey plays the nerdy high schooler who gets bitten by a wolf and Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as his arch-nemesis, another werewolf. One can only wonder if this casting was done in hopes that they would be confused for Taylor Lautner, the werewolf in the latest Twilight movie.

What I don't understand is why bother even using the title Teen Wolf (other than the nostalgia value) when the premise veers so far away from the original movie? The only thing the two have in common is the "high school werewolf" theme. On the other hand, the remake of Battlestar Galactica was only superficially like its predecessor as well.

And don't get me started about how this series has nothing to do with music.
