In a plot a little too near and dear to my heart, the gang tried to quit smoking (I have a Jan.12th deadline to quit - that's when I get the sweet anti-depressants from my doctor). Harvey Fierstein ('Hairspray') guest stars as Lily's smoking voice - which is already funny and I haven't even seen it yet.

Survivor - Sunday December 20, 8 pm, Global/CBS

The 2-hour finale package airs, including the standard reunion show. I haven't watched this season but at a recent holiday party a very reliable source told me this season has been excellent. So don't spoil me when you find out the winner - I may watch it on demand.

SNL Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas - Wednesday December 16, 9 pm, Global/NBC

Kristen Wiig reprises her trouble-making 'Gilly' role, and is joined by Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin and many more for this two-hour special. Filler in the form of ghosts of Christmas sketches past will also make a showing, so if you somehow missed Dick in a Box, your day has come.
