Tonight's Tonight Show could be really depressing

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 15th 2009 3:02PM
ConanHere's a tip: if you're thinking about watching The Tonight Show tonight, tune in either really early (the first 10 minutes) or really late (the last five minutes).

According to NBC's site, the guests on tonight's Tonight Show are Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Who are they, you ask? They're the "stars" of MTV's new, controversial reality show Jersey Shore. Now, please note that these aren't just two of several guests that Conan will talk to on the couch tonight, they're the only guests that Conan will talk to on the couch tonight. That's sadder than just having Heidi and Spencer on the show (at least there were other guests on that night).

The reason I say tune in late is because Norah Jones will be performing. Maybe she can save the show somehow but I doubt it. Every time this show does something cute (like last night's Christmas card) they do something that makes me say "I don't want to watch this show."

Well, obviously she was booked after I wrote this post.

Megan Mullally is listed as the first guest for tonight per the Tonight Show website.

I must say watching Conan (and Seth Green) take a swing at Heidi Montag and that other douchebag was one of the funniest moments of television I have seen in a while..
And besides Conan can make anything funny.

Been noticing that when they have a good guest the comedy bits at the front of the show are much shorter, where tonight I'd assume there will be a pretty good sized comedy bit planned if they are the only guest.

That or Norah Jones is going to talk before she plays, or there is an other guest that isn't listed for some random reason.

Yeah, 'cause Norah Jones' doldrums aren't depressing.

I think the booking people at the Tonight Show are either amused by booing or hate their boss (Conan) and want to torture him.
