Battlestar Galactica + Queen = Battlestar Rhapsody

by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 27th 2009 9:10AM
If you're anything like me (first of all, you have my deepest sympathy and secondly, some mild chafing down there is normal), you haven't had the patience to catch up with the brilliance that is Battlestar Galactica but that won't make this song any less funny.

Comedy fanboy recording artist The Great Luke Ski has an eye for obscure musical references and turned Queen's classic stream-of-consciousness nightmare ballad into a near-complete retelling of Battlestar Galactica. A fan of the "great referencer" created the video below.

This show is simply amazing. It's beautifully written, the story is riveting, and Starbuck is hot. What more could a sci-fi fan want? Highly recommended. The box set is pretty cool, too. Every episode (some extended), every extra clip, commentary, and it came with it's own Cylon. amazing

I've got a couple of his cd's. He's okay for the most part. But I could not get through this parody. I prefer Weird Al's Bohemian Polka and the Muppets version of Bohemian Rhapsody.

It would've been so bad if the singing weren't so horrible.

This was brilliant, coming from someone who only has passing knowledge of BSG. Of course I was very happy to hear the Firefly and Dr. Horrible shout-outs throughout the song. And it bit about Dick Cheney.
