Lost gets the DaVinci treatment with 'last supper' cast pic

Lost: The Last Supper
With the sixth, and final, season of Lost just about a month away (it premieres on ABC on February 2, at 9 p.m. ET), ABC has finally released the much anticipated cast picture. As you can see, it's very predictable (Battlestar Galatica played with the same thing for its final season) but still pretty damn cool -- the Lost version of Leonardo DaVinci's masterpiece "The Last Supper."

Biggest non-surprise? Check out who's playing the part of Jesus Christ -- none other than John Locke. The promo pic can be found in the latest issue of TV Guide and based on a quick glimpse, it's a safe bet that Lost junkies are gonna have a field day with it -- look at Sawyer leaning on Kate's chair! If you feel like snooping, there's a high-res version of the pic here.

It is a popular image - in the past few years it has been used in The Simpsons, Watchmen, BSG, House and many more. Here are 100 other examples for comparison, and the Lost version holds up very well:

The last supper imagery makes you look at the people and not the interesting background. The plane wing as the table; damaged building with dharma logo above Sayid's head.

LOST is great, but the BSG Last Supper picture is far superior.

Just a little over a month left and I can feel the hype building up.

I have no idea what they are going to do in the last season but with all the things left to explain its probably going to be bursting with content.

Sad to see it go but at least it is going out with a bang.
