What's Hot on SlashControl: Kara DioGuardi is ecstatic for Ellen DeGeneres

That little singing competition American Idol is right around the corner (it premieres Jan. 12), and I can't wait to see how Ellen DeGeneres does as the fourth judge. I'm sure she'll be a great addition to the show. I talked with Ryan Seacrest last week, and he said that Ellen has already asked to borrow some of his suits, so it sounds like anything can happen -- and probably will.

I told Ryan that I loved the idea of Ellen being a judge because she's a huge fan of American Idol, like many of us out here watching at home. He agreed, and said she actually asked him come over to her house so they could watch the show together.

Access Hollywood caught up with Kara DioGuardi at the VMAs, and Kara gave a little different take on it. She said that Ellen is a huge star, and the contestants on America Idol have to learn how to command the stage with everything they've got. Ellen is a master at that, but in a way we can all relate to.

NO I AM NOT - I CAN TELL YOU AFTER WATCHING EVERY SEASON FROM THE BEGINNING I DO NOT PLAN ON WATCHING ONE EPISODE. PAULA WAS ONE OF THE FOUR WHO MADE THIS THING THE SUCCESS IT WAS - AND FOR THEM TO JUST DISCARD HER BECAUSE SHE ASKED FOR WHAT SHE DESERVED AND DID NOT GET - BECAUSE SHE WAS A WOMAN. KARA - YOU CAN KEEP HER. SHE IS ARROGANT AND THEY HAD THIS IN MIND ALL ALONG - JUST DID IT ONE STEP AT A TIME - WHICH IS DISPICABLE. PAULA IS A LOVELY WOMAN WHO WAS ENCOURAGING AND MADE THE SHOW IN HER CRAZY WAY - INTERESTING. AND THE NASTY THINGS. SHE HAD MANY INJURIES. WHO IS TO SAY HOW HARD IT IS TO DEAL WITH SUCH PAIN. BUT SHE IS A REAL TROUPER AND I CAN'T WANT TO SEE WHAT SHE WILL BE UP TO NEXT. WHATEVER IT IS - THAT IS WHERE I WILL BE ROUTING HER ON. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A BITCH OR A BASTARD OR A NO TALENT HOST - BUT I GUESS YOU HAVE TO TO BE A JUDGE OR NO TALENT HOST ON IDOL. AND ELLEN. HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED. DOESN'T SHE HAVE ENOUGH SUCCESS. SHE IS LUCKY THAT SO MANY PEOPLE STUCK WITH HER WHEN SHE WAS DOWN. PERHAPS SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME OR SHOWN THE SAME LOYALTY FOR SOMEONE ELSE. IF THAT THING SHE DOES IN THE BEGINNING MAKES HER A DANCER - OH GOD. OF COURSE THEY ARE ALL GOING TO SAY "SHE IS BRING SO MUCH TO THE PLATE". SINCE I WON'T BE WATCHING I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR HOW SHE AND THE BITCH KARA GO AT IT.

BUT I AND MANY, MANY PEOPLE THAT I TALK TO WILL NOT BE WATCHING. THEIR HEYDAY IS OVER. PAULA YOU WILL NOT BE MISSING ANYTHING THERE. PLEASE MOVE FORWARD AND LET YOUR FANS KNOW SO WE CAN SUPPORT AND FOLLOW YOU. YOU ARE A GOOD HUMAN BEING AND HAVE THE CREDENTIALS TO DO WELL IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.
