The actress, being done with 'Dexter,' has already found a new gig, playing a stripper who gets involved with the lovely ladies of Wisteria Lane.

According to the Ausiello Files, Benz has been signed to appear in three (but we think probably more) episodes of 'Desperate Housewives,' playing Debbie, a stripper with a Masters in education. Susan, Teri Hatcher's character, represents the connective tissue here: Through plot machinations best left to viewing and morning-after watercooler debates, she provides Debbie with a lifeline that takes her from the stripper pole. The question is not whether or not Debbie accepts the lifeline, but what occurs when she does.

Perhaps the Debbie storyline, which is expected to arrive toward the end of the current season, may perk up 'Housewives' a little bit. What do you think? Will the stripper Debbie represent the jump-the-shark moment for the onetime ABC titan? Or as producer Marc Cherry has suggested in interviews -- and proven in 2009 with Edie's electrocution -- might 'Housewives' may still have some lusty fire in it yet?
