ABC Orders More 'Cougar Town'

Cougar TownAccording to EW.com, ABC has ordered up two more episodes of 'Cougar Town,' bringing the show's freshman season to 24 episodes.

The comedy, which premiered Sept. 23 and stars Courtney Cox as Jules, a divorced single mother who reenters the dating scene, has proved to be an excellent companion to the network's Wednesday night comedy block. In this week's episode, Cox's old 'Friends' pal Lisa Kudrow guest stars as a hilariously fearsome dermatologist who treats Jules and dates her ex. Previously, Cox guested on Kudrow's online series 'Web Therapy.'

'Cougar Town' has been nominated for a People's Choice Award, in the category of Favorite New Comedy Series (the show airs tonight); and Cox has nabbed a nomination for a Golden Globe as Best Actress in a TV Series -- Musical or Comedy. The 67th Globes airs Jan. 17.
