Check out this promo for Poochinski, a rejected pilot about man who presumably offends some whimsical Eastern god and comes back from the dead in dog puppet form.



You can't blame me for thinking this was a Funny or Die-style hoax, especially after that Tim Allen Arbor Daze video Bob posted earlier. But Poochinski was the real deal.

I can't decide what I love most about this clip. Is it the Casio-synth Beverly Hills Cop theme music? The "It's precious life" line? The ugly puppet upstaging the Father of The Bride guy? No, it's probably the simple fact that it's all about a prickly cop who gets murdered and turns into a frakkin' farting zombie dog! I know we live in a crazy world, but it's hard to believe that something as insanely stupid as this actually got made!

And where does the name "Poochinski" come from? Did the zombie dog puppet thing choose to name himself Poochinski? Did Not Paul Rudd name him that? And was he reincarnated with that collar already on? So many questions.
