Dana CarveyDana Carvey
has teamed with Spike Feresten for a new sketch comedy series, set to air on FOX. Few details have been revealed so far; however, we do know that the duo will write, executive produce and star in the series, which will be filmed on location and feature an online component of some sort. No word yet on a launch date. [Variety]

Melinda ClarkeMelinda Clarke is about to sink her teeth into a familiar role. The former 'OC' co-star, who played Marissa Cooper's manipulative mom, Julie, will next play mom to Kelly Donovan's Matt on the hit CW series 'Vampire Diaries.' Clarke's character is being described as an "irresponsible" and "absentee" mom who reportedly skipped out on her daughter's funeral (ouch). Look for Clarke's guest stint to begin sometime in March. Scott Bakula'Chuck' is back (read our recap here) -- and now, so is Scott Bakula. Sources say Bakula will reprise his role as Chuck's father on the cult NBC series, which will air towards the end of this season. In the meantime, you can catch Bakula on the new TNT series 'Men of a Certain Age,' airing Mondays at 10PM. [Ausiello Files]
