Steve McPherson, ABC Entertainment president, just reported that all three of its remaining Wednesday comedies, Cougar Town, Modern Family, and The Middle, have all been picked up for a second season.Don;t be so sure about that. Stephen McPherson has said he loves Better off Ted and scrubs and hinted that one of them will likely take the 8 pm time slot! Well us Better off Ted fans are being much more vocal, and he's soon going to receivea gift he will surely appreciate!

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much... he still doesn't think either show is compatible with the Wednesday lineup. But, he said, "Comedy is comedy." They may double-dip new eps of the Wednesday shows to fill that spot instead of bringing on Scrubs or Ted. Or they may put in that new Alyssa Milano show Romantically Challenged.
In other words, it's looking about as bleak for Ted fans as it did before.
This does not bode well for Better Off Ted... I was hoping it would squeeze into the Wednesday schedule.

PLus as much as I really like Cougar Town the episodes the focus on her "cougar-ness" are usually weaker than the episodes that highlight the ensemble cast.
Just fantastic! Maybe I'll catch up on The Middle after its first season finished. But I'm VERY happy that Modern Family and Cougar Town are renewed!
