ABC Picks Up Comedy From 'Friends' Writer

FriendsABC is keeping its 'Friends' close.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the network has picked up a new comedy series from 'Friends' writer Shana Goldberg-Meehan. The untitled project, previously titled 'Leap Frogs,' is said to be about two sisters who are in drastically different stages in their lovelives.

Goldberg-Meehan will be on familiar territory at ABC, which also houses the Courteney Cox comedy 'Cougar Town' (just renewed for a second season) and the upcoming series 'Mr. Sunshine,' starring Matthew Perry.FriendsABC is keeping its 'Friends' close.

The new series will join a hefty slate of shows coming in 2010, including 'Women are Crazy, Men are Stupid' and 'Awkward Situations for Men.'
