Leno has been piling on the lies and hypocrisy!

Too many are buying into NBC's PR machine which has every intention
of rewriting history!

I have started a cause of facebook to boycott NBC during sweeps. If we can get enough people to stop watching and it effects their ratings then maybe they will realize pushing Conan out was a bad move. If you are on facebook go to causes and search "Boytcott NBC for Sweeps" join and then invite all your friends to join.

Just don't take S&M Abraham Lincoln. That guy always "delivers"....

There's what's legal and what's right. They're not always the same. Trust me, I'm a lawyer.

NBC most likely does have the intellectual property in any comedy sketch created on any of Conan's NBC shows. I'd be shocked if they didn't. Sure, exceptions for things Conan himself brought to the show, i'm sure, that clearly existed before he was on NBC. But just because they have the IP on these things, they should either man up and tell The Chin to go away, or if their beancounters have concluded by whatever stupid formula that they use that their stock price will go up a tenth of a hundredth of a point if they put Leno back on the 11:35 Tonight Show and that alone makes their decision for them... let Conan go freely and let him have the characters/skits he's been using.

If I were Conan I'd use them anyway - let NBC sue him over it. They'd look horrible, and the bad PR will drop their stock price by a larger margin than whatever amount bringing back Leno will have raised it.

Then again, it seems NBC doesn't take bad PR into account when considering its actions. They'll just see a legally viable lawsuit, and their corp lawyers will tell them that winning is a sure thing. Looking like assholes to all of America won't matter to them. Plus big companies always believe their PR department can spin stuff like this to make them look good. Not gonna happen, NBC. Not a chance.

you know they can call it "The Bear Who Masturbates" but Conan hasn't really used those characters in long time and on his Tonight Show he's had he taking at a different direction from his old absurdist, oddball humor, but still making the comedy feel like his style, so like you said Bob "he and his writers will have no problem coming up with more characters and sketches. 1. If NBC takes the Masturbating Bear away (I'd love to hear lawyers argue over this), then Conan better get the Bear out of his exile with Carrie Fisher and put him on the show this week.
