by Robin Milling, posted Jan 17th 2010 9:00AM

'Mad Men' star Christina Hendricks will strut the 16th Annual SAG Awards red carpet dressed to the nines for a cause: After the show she'll auction the dress to benefit the 'Clothes Off Our Back' charity.

"It's really a great organization because it's different celebrities donating their clothes," she said. "We always go to these amazing events and wear these beautiful clothes and only get to wear them once. This is an opportunity for someone else to enjoy it and wear it and at the same time you're donating (money) to these wonderful children's charities. It's really a great, great thing."

Viewers can log onto www.DegreeRedDress.com to vote for the sexy red dress Hendricks will wear; with every vote a $1 donation will be made to 'Clothes Off Our Back.'

Hendricks is literally putting her trust in her fans. "There's going to be different options of red dresses," she said. "I'm going to trust the fans! And they get to vote on the style so there are plenty of options. We're going to find something beautiful. And at the end of it all we're going to actually auction off the dress that I end up wearing."

Hendricks, who plays the voluptuous office manager Joan Holloway in 'Mad Men,' has learned a few style tips from her character.

"She has taught me a thing or two about how to dress, "Hendricks said. "One of the great things about the show is that the fashion is coming back. Guys I know love seeing the suits with the pocket squares and the thin ties. I definitely walk into shops and see influences from the show and the '60s."

The 16th annual SAG Awards airs Jan. 23 on TNT. "Mad Men" resumes it's shooting schedule for season 4 in April.
