Lost University's spring semester now in session

Lost University is back in session to teach you about time travel physics.Just like scores of real world colleges and universities across the country, Lost University is now back in session.

The fictional university meant to teach Lost fans on the "fringe" science and other elements of J.J. Abrams' show can begin classes anew as the series approaches its final season.

It's no joke and no mere marketing gimmick as the "university" brings in legitimate scientists, psychologists, language experts and other experts to discuss the themes and science of Lost.

The current course catalog includes: PHI 201: I'M RIGHT, YOU'RE WRONG: THE US VS. THEM MENTALITY -- "This course examines the complex relationship between Right vs. Wrong, Us vs. Them, and Good vs. Evil, and applies it to both Lost and the real world."

PSY 201: SELF DISCOVERY THROUGH FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS -- "Lost producers and cast are joined by a family psychologist to analyze some of the complex relationships explored on the show."

PHY 201: ADVANCES PHYSICS OF TIME TRAVEL -- "Take a more in-depth look at the inner workings of time travel, from Quantum Mechanics to paradoxes. This course consists of two sessions taught by visiting professors currently active in the field of theoretical physics."

All you have to do to enroll is visit the university online and sit in front of your computer. Unfortunately, there are no keg'ers, drunk coeds or football games scheduled, as far as I can tell.

You might want to also mention that in order to do this, you need a Blu-Ray player with BD-Live AND you need the Lost Season 5 Blu-Ray disc set. This is something they failed to mention before they sent the notice a few months back to everyone on their mailing list, which resulted in loads of people signing up to play something they couldn't ultimately participate in anyway. It's nice to know this up front, don't ya think?
