New TV on DVD releases this week

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 18th 2010 6:01PM
DamagesHere are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow.

Defying Gravity is one of those shows where I said "oh, I have to start watching that," and then it was gone from ABC. I guess there have been several shows like that in recent years. I can say the same thing about Damages and Durham County, but at least those two shows are still around.

Guess I'm interested in shows that begin with the letter D this week.

  • 21 Jump Street - Season 1
  • Cranford: Return to Cranford and The Collection (Cranford/Return to Cranford)
  • Dallas - Season 12
  • Damages - Season 2
  • Defying Gravity - Complete Series
  • Durham County - Season 1
  • Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series - Complete Series
  • The Game - Season 2
  • Girlfriends - The Final Season
  • Hunter - Season 1
  • Jonathan Creek - Season 1
  • Law & Order - Season 7
  • Pawn Stars - Season 1
  • Renegade - Season 1
  • Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics - Vol. 1
  • Thirtysomething - Season 2
  • Weeds - Season 5

Correction: There has never been an official cancellation of Defying Gravity and the DVD Release is titled "Defying Gravity: The Complete First Season (2009)" not the Series!! There is an avid fan base online who believe the series should continue on...

I hope enough people buy DG even though it was canceled so that they can give James Parriott another series soon, maybe one that would have half a chance at survival.

ABC ruinously mistreated this show, far worse than FOX ever did to Joss Whedon's shows.

That should be Jonathan Creek Season 4, which is also the only thing I'm considering buying this week.
