Regis Philbin Mystified By Portable Media Devices (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Jan 21st 2010 4:00PM
Regis Philbin just can't seem to wrap his brain around the idea of portable devices like the iPhone and iPod, which are capable of storing a vast wealth of media. Co-host Kelly Ripa and show producer Michael Gelman did their best to explain the concept to Philbin on today's 'Live With Regis and Kelly,' but to no avail."You know the collection of records I've got, how many of those can you put on an iPhone?" asked Philbin. When Ripa and Gelman explained that today's devices can store entire music collections, Philbin asked, "Where do they stay?" and "Where are they?"

"It breaks them into little bits of information -- numbers -- and it puts them all in your memory," said Gelman.
"Excuse me," Philbin interrupted. "Can I see these bits?"
"No, they're too small." Gelman replied. "It's like a TV set. You don't live in the TV set. You're just sent to the TV set."
