Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer, the FBI and a death threat

by Allison Waldman, posted Jan 21st 2010 1:00PM
jon_cryer_two_and_a_half_menWhen I read that there was a plot to kill Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer, I thought it had to be a joke. Jon Cryer? Seriously, what could "Alan Harper" have done to piss somebody off so badly that they want him dead? Then I read the TMZ item again -- bearing in mind that it's TMZ -- and learned the FBI is investigating a threat on Jon Cryer's life. The FBI doesn't mess around. They're like the IRS, you know -- no sense of humor.

Apparently, Jon Cryer is involved in a very nasty custody dispute with his ex-wife. The situation is so intense that Cryer contacted the authorities because he believed someone was trying to kill him. The word "hitman" was used, and as bizarre as that sounds, people have been known to go to such extremes. Law enforcement took Jon's worries seriously and questioned his ex-wife about her involvement. Nobody has been arrested, but the FBI worked on the case for a week.

Security has been amped up at the studio and last week's taping of Two and a Half Men was done without a studio audience. Normally, there's a real audience laughing at the jokes, not canned ha-ha's. This week, again, there will be no audience but they're saying that for creative purposes. Hmm... I wonder.

If this wasn't such a scary story, it might actually make a funny episode of Two and a Half Men. In just the past few shows, Judith, Alan's ex-wife, has had reasons to want to pummel him. For instance, Alan's bromance with Judith's current husband, Herb, has ticked her off. But even Judith wouldn't go so far as to hire a hitman. ...She'd kill him with her bare hands.

TMZ does get a lot of breaking news stories first, but they also pay for those stories. I watch TMZ and it's okay, I just do not like
how hypocritical they can be. They will dog a person for a comment and in another show they will say an exact comment. There are two cast members that think they are holier than thou, the fat black woman and the skinny white girl that sits up front. Other than that, decent for a gossip mag rag TV show.

Well, at least it wasn't that women beating moron of a man, Charlie Sheen because no one pays a hit man via his personal checking account. Just like Charlie Sheen paid all those whores for sex but yet wouldn't spend a nickel on his childrens own medical appointments because he didn't get to beat the hell out of his second wife enough to cover the costs of child care.

Kman, I don't watch that show, or anything on television, but what a damn fool you are for the comment you made. This is REAL LIFE, not sitcom life, that is of concern. Not a CHARACTER being killed off of a show, but a REAL PERSON. Get it now? FAKE vs. REAL. ALIVE vs DEAD.
Geez...

"I don't watch that show, or anything on television"

That is INSANE! I just watched "Hiding Out" that Jon starred in years ago, where he played a young stock broker that a hitman was after... I hadn't seen it in years, remembered it, and downloaded it. The FBI puts him in Witness Protection in the film. What a coincidence.
As to his wife and custody... I'm having serious issues with my ex husband now, and I've actually felt a little nervous before... it started off so amicably, and now it is vicious. Poor kids... Hope Jon stays safe!

I never knew what his name was on that show with the sex deviant and alcoholic who is corrupting his underaged nephew. John Cryer - dead; gosh what a blow to humanity that would be.
.
I wonder what's on the other channel.

Bear in mind that TMZ has been right in a lot of things, they were first with Tiger Woods, Conan.
