The Ken Burns treatment for Jay vs. Conan

I love the Ken Burns documentaries. I find that I don't schedule them on the DVR, but anytime I stumble across one on PBS -- like the recent one on national parks -- I wind up spending the afternoon watching the back to back hours. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the clever guys over there presented one of the funniest bits yet on the Jay Leno versus Conan O'Brien saga at NBC. Imagine, if you will, how Kevin Burns might document the conflagration...
Well, you don't have to. They've done it for us and in a four-minute clip, you get a brilliant summation of the past two weeks of the 21st late night wars. It includes all the great Burns touches, the inserts of letters, the voice overs, the antique photography...
My only complaint is that I would like more than four minutes. Take a look and tell me what you think?
You know, this was done as a comedy thing, but if Ken Burns wanted to really tackle a current issue and not just do historical stuff, this would be a perfect subject. I don't think he'd be able to romanticize the subject the way he did baseball, but what a wealth of material and characters to interview. Ken, are you reading this... Think about it.
