Ozzy Osbourne appeared on 'Today' to promote his autobiography "I am Ozzy" and discussed the drug and alcohol dependence that has plagued him for much of his career. Osbourne also offered cautionary advice for those who might be enticed by drugs and alcohol ... he just can't seem to remember what the advice is.

Ozzy Osbourne appeared on 'Today' to promote his autobiography "I am Ozzy" and discussed the drug and alcohol dependence that has plagued him for much of his career. Osbourne also offered cautionary advice for those who might be enticed by drugs and alcohol ... he just can't seem to remember what the advice is.

"Once I started, I could never stop," Osbourne said of his substance abuse. "It was just like a garbage can. I would throw anything in. I'm not proud of the fact that I nearly died on several occasions."

When asked by Meredith Vieira what sort of advice Osbourne might offer to those looking to adopt a hard-partying lifestyle, the singer looked puzzled at first, then laughed and said, "I don't know."
