This post has a major spoiler about Mad Men, so don't read it

So there's a major character leaving AMC's Mad Men, and this is probably one of those casting decisions that's going to make dedicated Mad Men fans very upset. They might even Twitter or text "OMG!" to their friends.
But I'll put the announcement after the jump for those of you who don't want to know. The person leaving Mad Men is...
...someone who has kinda already left the show. It looks like Bryan Batt, who played Sal Romano, is not coming back to the show.
He was supposed to be notified by the end of December about coming back, but they never notified him. Creator Matthew Weiner says that losing Batt was "a tough moment for the show," and says it was "an expression of the times that he couldn't work there anymore."
Let's hope that somewhere down the line the show does find a place for Sal Romano. Maybe not as a full-time thing but just guest appearances so we know that our favorite art director is OK.
