Melissa Joan Hart, Joey Lawrence Reunite for ABC Family Sitcom

The chemistry between Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, who co-starred in the ABC Family movie 'My Fake Fiance' last spring, was apparently good enough to warrant its own show.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network has just ordered 10 episodes of a new comedy series, aptly titled 'Melissa & Joey.' The upcoming sitcom is set to hit the small-screen airwaves sometime this year.

'My Fake Fiance,' in which Hart and Lawrence played two schemers who stage an engagement between them to collect wedding presents, garnered more than three million viewers when it premiered in April. In the new series, Hart will play an overwrought politician who hires Lawrence to help straighten out her family issues.

Both Hart and Lawrence have very long resumes on the small screen, despite only being their 30s. Hart starred on Nickelodeon's 'Clarissa Explains It All' in the early '90s and later on ABC's and the WB's 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.'

Lawrence, meanwhile, performed as a child on 'Gimme a Break' and later on 'Blossom,' both NBC series, before heading to the Disney Channel for 'Brotherly Love.'

Today's pick-up continues a busy news for ABC Family, which last week announced the addition of two new drama series -- 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'Huge.' According to the report, the network has also decided to cancel 'Lincoln Heights' after four seasons.
