Rip Torn Appears in Court, Posts Bond Following Bizarre Arrest

After his surprising arrest Friday evening, in which he was allegedly caught after breaking into a Connecticut bank with a loaded gun, Rip Torn entered court today on charges of criminal trespass, criminal mischief, carrying a weapon without a permit and burglary. The soon-to-be-79-year-old actor later posted $100,000 bond and, according to TMZ, was seen talking in Spanish on his way out.
Torn will reportedly be back in court on Feb. 17.

Rip Torn -- who was arrested Friday evening after he allegedly broke into a Connecticut bank carrying a loaded gun -- entered court today on charges of criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, carrying a weapon without a permit and burglary. Torn was said to be "highly intoxicated" at the time of his arrest, according to local police.The soon-to-be-79-year-old actor later posted $100,000 bond and, according to TMZ, was seen talking in Spanish on his way out.
