Drew Brees Has One Commercial That's Better Than Peyton Manning's

With the Super Bowl just a couple of days away, there's been tons of attention paid to both the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts players. And it's all justifiable. After all, they've made it to the ultimate NFL game. But when it comes to commercials, the king is most likely Peyton Manning. Whether it's "Cut that meat" or Sony TVs or licking the inside of Oreo cookies with his brother Eli, Peyton has the upper hand on the entire NFL in ads.

But wait, there is another quarterback in the Super Bowl, Drew Brees, and he has at least one commercial that ranks right up there with the funniest stuff either Manning has done. It was a 'This is SportsCenter' promotion for ESPN.

Do you remember it? There's a long line of traffic at the gates in Bristol to get into the ESPN studios, only something is in the way. Something really, really big. Here, take a look:




Yes, that's Drew Brees driving the Mardi Gras float. Very, very New Orleans and very, very clever. His reaction is priceless, made even more amusing because haven't we all been there and done that, albeit not driving a carnival display. You're in an impossible situation and there's not much you can do about it but react like Drew does, "Just back up."

For Drew's sake, hopefully he won't be having to say that to Colt pass rushers if they get some pressure on him Sunday night in the big game.
