Last August, TNT annoucned that 'Saving Grace' would end after four seasons, reportedly due to high production costs.

"It's been a fantastic beacon for the network, which has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare," said TNT programming chief Michael Wright.

The network wanted a full fourth season, but Fox TV Studios was forced to decline. Instead, the show will end with nine episodes -- enough to tie up loose ends, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
