Julie Benz to Stay Longer on 'Desperate Housewives'

Since Julie Benz was written out of 'Dexter,' she found her way to Wisteria Lane as stripper Robin. Her original contract with 'Desperate Housewives' was to appear in three episodes, her first being the January 31 episode titled 'The Glamorous Life.'
However, due to her character being well-received and her promising storyline, she was offered to stay on 'Desperate' a while longer.
Spoilers coming up!
In her first episode, Benz's character Robin was introduced to Susan when the latter was at the stripclub to sell her half to the other co-owner. While there, Susan talked to Robin about being a stripper, life and her aspirations. This talk had Robin rethink her life as a stripper and she decided to quit everything in order to start over.
Susan decided to take Robin under her wing and help her start anew. Sadly for Robin, her past as a stripper followed her and she was fired from the job Susan had given her at the school. The episode ended with Susan offering Robin to stay with her and Mike for a while.
Benz was unrecognizable when in her stripper clothes and makeup. However, she looked more like her 'Dexter' self when she stripped down in more normal clothes. Her performance as Robin was fun and light; the best scenes being the ones with little MJ who was almost litteraly drooling over her!
Her addition to the show as a recurring character will provide interesting stories not only because of her stripper past -- we already know that some Wisteria Lane men have seen her at the club -- but also because of her upcoming storyline with Katherine, which involves a kiss. Her arrival on Wisteria Lane will be causing quite a stir, especially when the housewives discover her past and the men, including the teens, discover her beauty. One thing I can't wait is to see Susan try to be the adult for once as Robin is really looking up to her for advice. Of course, we all know that Susan will be clumsy when handling the whole Robin situation.
Are you happy that Julie Benz is staying longer? What would you like to see happen to her character? Would you like her to become a series regular?
