Three of Evans' albums -- "Faith," "Keep the Faith" and "Faithfully" -- have gone platinum, and she has received five Grammy nominations and one win. Her early career was marked by her marriage to hip-hop artist Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, who was gunned down in 1997 in Los Angeles, allegedly as part of the then East Coast-West Coast rap feud.
Evans' return to the limelight will also include a new studio album from the Prolific Music Group. In a sign of the new entertainment synergy, the album will be distributed by E1 Music.
