According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series has been picked up for a second season under a new 12-episode order. The series follows Tameka, Norris, Shayne and Amber Cole as they struggle to lose weight. At the time of the series' debut, they collectively weighed over 1400 pounds.

Season 2 is expected to air this June and is a product of RDF USA.

In the six episodes that aired during season 1, the Cole's took viewers camping, to water parks and to yard sales -- quite a contrast from 'The Biggest Loser''s boot camp-like atmosphere (maybe that's why they're so happy).

The announcement from TLC comes on the heels of First Lady Michelle Obama's recent pledge to fight childhood obesity, an epidemic that youth are confronted with these days. "Obesity is an epidemic in America, so it's no surprise that viewers fell in love with the Coles family as they began their weight loss journey," said Mike Duffy of RDF USA. "With four different perspectives, every viewer has someone they can relate to but, ultimately I think people root for them because they're refreshingly sweet, funny and honest."
