Beau Garrett Cast as Female Lead in 'Criminal Minds' Spinoff

Forest Whitaker has found his Beau.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Beau Garrett has been cast as the female lead in the untitled 'Criminal Minds' spinoff. She'll play Gina, Cooper's (Whitaker) loyal agent who has just been recruited from the FBI.

The model-actress has done a few acting gigs on the small screen, including roles in 'House' and 'Entourage.' In movies, she's co-starred in 'Made of Honor,' opposite 'Grey's Anatomy''s Patrick Dempsey, and the upcoming 'Tron Legacy,' due out this year.Forest Whitaker has found his Beau.

As we previously reported, the spinoff will first be introduced during an episode of 'Criminal Minds' in the spring, similar to the way 'NCIS: L.A.' was introduced on 'NCIS' last season.

In the meantime, the spinoff is being helmed by Richard Shepard from a script by Chris Mundy. The show will presumably kick off in the fall.
