Kim Kardashian Becoming a Documentary Filmmaker?

kim_kardashian_butt_shot_e_onlineIs there more to Kim Kardashian than meets the eye? We're about to find out. The model who's one of the stars of E! channel's 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' has always been famous for... being famous.

Now she's stepping behind the camera (a bit) as the producer of a E! half-hour documentary called 'The SPINdustry,' chronicling the world of entertainment public relations. Yes, that sounds like Bravo's 'Kel on Earth,' but that's just a big coincidence. The press release actually makes it sound like Kim's picking up the camera and shooting footage herself.

Kim's involvement as producer of 'The SPINdustry' likely has a lot to do with the fact that it's on E! and the subject of the show is the launch of a new product by Command PR. Comprising Command PR two publicists, Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck, who are FOK. Friends of Kim. Get it?

KK has high hopes for the feature, anticipating it as a possible series. Of course, if she really wants it to succeed, she might want to rethink this line that she shared with E! Online: "I really liked being behind the scenes." Umm, no.

Nevertheless, Kardashian claims that she liked being productive and would enjoy doing more behind the scenes, creative stuff. If she manages to get E! to bite on this, future programs will focus on other celeb publicists who are creating events for the likes of Tori Spelling, Mario Lopez and Mel B. Oh, I'm sure there will be a Bruce Jenner and family Kardashian event, too.

The bottom line (no pun intended) is that La Kardashian is spreading her wings and flex her celebrity muscle. At least the documentary is about something she knows about... Could you imagine if she wanted to go do a Ken Burns thing or enter Michael Moore territory? Yes, that was a joke.

I will be keeping up with the Kardashians on E! and with Google. I just got the GOOGLE TV technology from DISH Network. I can watch my favorite shows on G4 and surf the net for info. I am doing it right now! I love my DISH Network employee discounted subscription. Find out more about the lowest digital pricing and GOOGLE TV at www.dish.com. http://goo.gl/wuMrN
