Patrick Dempsey Wears a Thong on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)

We had no idea that Patrick Dempsey was such a big fan of Ellen DeGeneres underwear. Apparently, he wears it around the house all the time.

To celebrate, DeGeneres gave him a whole bunch of new underwear when he stopped by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). There was red underwear, gold underwear, even rubber underwear.

But the best, by far, was the thong. The 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thurs., 9PM ET on ABC) star was so excited, he put it on right then and there – but darn, on top of his jeans. Oh well, we McDreamy fans can dream, can't we?
