Will There be a Sixth Season for 'Supernatural?'

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 16th 2010 11:07AM
SupernaturalJane believes in the power of 'Supernatural,' and Dawn Ostroff, President of The CW does too. She sounds open to a sixth season of the show, according to Zap2it.com. In fact, the exact words that Ostroff is using when describing how the network feels about the show are "rooting for." There's no word yet on whether or not creator Eric Kripke wants to do another season, or if the show could/would continue without him.

I can't imagine that 'Supernatural' wouldn't come back, especially if Kripke wants to do another season. It's a good show, it has a rabid following, it has already hit 100 episodes, and it's a show that The CW really needs in its lineup. Beyond 'Gossip Girl,' it really seems that people don't talk too much about most of the other shows on the network. 'Supernatural' has quality and buzz, and you don't want to lose too many of those type of shows.

I have been hooked since the very first episode, and I hope that there will be a season 6 this is a show that CW does not want to let go, I think that they should promote the show more, but even with the low promotion there are a lot of fans and the show has a strong following.

It's kind of like a "ranking system" The black-eyed demons are the "weakest". They're the ones Dean and Sam run into most often and are not as hard to kill. The yellow-eyed demon was more powerful. You can say he was a "higher power" than the black-eyes, much harder to kill. And the white-eyed demons (alistair and lillith) are the most deadly and powerful. They can't be killed by sam's ability. They follow Lucifer on rank of deadliest!

This is one of those rare shows that hit its stride in the fourth season and keeps getting better.

Imagine how well it would do with a decent time slot.

I actually watched and caught up in the entire series the past four months. The first season was a bit of a chore to get through, but after getting through that, it's been quite a ride.

In any case, I usually respect showrunners wanting to end their show. I do hope pressure from fans and/or the networks don't get to them. If they want to end it, they should have the right to end it. Plus my goodness what can they do next season to top the Apocalypse/Lucifer/God/etc.?

I've been a fan since it first came on the air. The CW hasn't done a good job at promoting this show at all, most people don't seem interested or say it looks dumb. After they watch a few episodes they are hooked, I've gotten over a dozen people to start following this show that way

It's taken too long for this show to get the mainstream buzz it deserves. I've been watching it since the 1st episode. For some reason the hardest thing is to get people to give it a watch a couple times. If you can get someone to watch 3 random episodes they are hooked and become a fan.
