We still have a couple of months before the big 'Brothers & Sisters' two-hour flashback extravaganza airs (Sun., April 11 on ABC), but we can set the record straight now about a few things that have been reported.

After spending the day on the 'B&S' set while they filmed the first hour flashback scenes -- set in the Walker home in 1986 -- AOL Television can confirm that 'Melrose Place' alum Colin Egglesfield does appear in both hours as a young William Walker.

Colin EgglesfieldLooking clean cut when we talked to him, Egglesfield let it spill that the big transformative element to turn 1986 William into 1973 William will be hair -- facial hair, of course. But don't expect him to work a Tom Skerritt-style 'stache; young Dennis York will be the only one with a hairy upper lip in '73.

The second pleasant surprise of the day was who Egglesfield was acting alongside: the flashback version of Nora Walker, played by none other than (drumroll please ... ) Sally Field!

It's true -- while it's been widely reported that Lauren Bittner would be playing Nora for the flashback eps, turns out she's only playing Nora circa 1973.

Sally FieldThis isn't the first time Field has done the flashback thing for 'B&S' -- as AfterElton.com reminds us, you can see her going a few decades younger in season 1 by simply throwing on a wig and acting through a shower curtain. This won't be so different, since we'll only see Nora in the first hour in silhouette or through vertical blinds on the Walker house windows. But, as Egglesfield delighted, it was still Sally Field he was acting with.

Sadly, there's one person we won't be seeing flashback-ized: Field confirmed that her TV brother Saul (played by Ron Rifkin in the present day) will not be featured in the two-hour episode.

As for the other mini Walker dopplegangers, get ready -- the casting couldn't be more spot-on, and there are plenty of totally '80s touches to make it feel authentic. Think Tab, Wang Chung and, of course, some talk of how much young Kitty (played by Kay Panabaker) loves then-President Ronald Reagan.

And you thought you couldn't love the Walker clan any more.
