This week, dancers Lacey Schwimmer and Jonathan Roberts took to the social networking site to announce that they will not be returning to fight for the mirrorball trophy when season 10 kicks off next month.

"Hey twitterbugs! I will not be doing DWTS this season," Schwimmer tweeted. "But be sure to tune in! <3"

Since she joined the show in 2008, Schwimmer has danced with Lance Bass, Steve-O and Mark Dacascos of 'Iron Chef America.' Meanwhile, Roberts has been on-and-off the show since season 1. During his stints, he's partnered with everyone from Heather Mills to Marie Osmond to Macy Gray.

"Hey Everyone," Roberts tweeted. "I will not be doing DWTS this season, will miss everyone but I'm sure you will see me on some tues shows until next season
."

However, Twitter did offer at least some good 'Dancing' news this week: Star Cheryl Burke confirmed that she will be back for another season. "Got the big call! Can't wait till next week!!!!" Burke tweeted.

Derek Hough, meanwhile, was a bit more coy. "I'm Not not doing season 10 ..." he said, before clarifying with another tweet asking fans to "Read the tweet again ..."

What do you think: Were Roberts and Schwimmer too scared at the prospects of dancing with rumored celebrity contestants Pamela Anderson and Kevin Federline? Or are they in just need of a little R&R?
