CBS and WB Backing Sheen After He Goes to Rehab

by Brad Trechak, posted Feb 24th 2010 10:25AM
Charlie SheenDrug and alcohol abuse is not a new problem in Hollywood, so the studios are fairly used to it by now when one of their stars goes to rehab. Thus, it's no surprise that both The WB and CBS, the studios behind 'Two and a Half Men', are behind Charlie Sheen and support him in his recovery efforts.

What choice to they have? 'Two and a Half Men' is responsible for CBS dominating Monday nights and Sheen is going to rehab for his problem. Being unsupportive at this stage would be something of a dick move.

Despite the show's high ratings, this could be a sign to wrap up production and go out on a high note, particularly considering that Angus T. Jones is getting to that "no longer a cute kid" age. 'The Big Bang Theory' gets high ratings on its own and could take over Monday nights (although it could be argued that the ratings are from the strong lead-in by 'Two and a Half Men').

You do know that Jake was never the "half" in 2 and a half men don't you?

That distinction clearly belongs to Allan.

There is still plenty of funny things that could happen to Jake at his age.Him just being a smart azz isn't funny! Charlie in rehab could be funny if the writers would think about it No wife for Charlie, that would kill the theme of the show.Charlie Sheen has real problems, however this show is based on disfunction of men dealing with women.
