'E! News' host Giuliana Rancic appeared on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) and discussed her recent struggle to conceive a child. Rancic said an infertility specialist advised her to gain weight, but she had difficulty doing so because of insecurities over her body image and pressure in her industry to stay thin.

Whoopi Goldberg, though, was having none of it, and gave Rancic a reality check on motherhood. "You know what? You want to have a baby, you need to prepare your body for that other person who's going to be there," she said.
