Craig Robinson to Host 'Last Comic Standing'

Craig RobinsonActor Craig Robinson will host the upcoming seventh season of NBC's 'Last Comic Standing' when it returns in the summer, according to an exclusive report from the Wrap.

NBC alternative programming chief Paul Telegdy confirmed the news today, saying, "He's a brilliant stand-up ... and someone we believe in as an NBC talent. We also think he's just funny as all get-out."

'Last Comic Standing' last aired in 2008 and was hosted by Bill Bellamy. Jay Mohr, the show's original host, ran the show for its first three seasons until it was canceled by NBC. Auditions for season 7 will take place next month in New York and Los Angeles.

Robsinon is best known to TV fans as Darryl on the Emmy-winning comedy 'The Office.' Next up for the funnyman is the big screen flick 'Hot Tub Time Machine,' which hits theaters on March 26.
