TV Casting: 'ER' Alums Scrub in for New Pilots

Laura Innes'ER's' David Lyons, Shane West and Laura Innes have each booked pilots on NBC and the CW. According to reports, Lyons will lead NBC's 'The Cape,' about an ex-cop who becomes a superhero in an attempt to fix his reputation and reunite with his son. Over at the CW, West will join Maggie Q in the upcoming reboot of 'Nikita,' while Innes will create an 'Event' at NBC, playing the head of the inmates at a "secret facility." [Hollywood Reporter]

Malcolm McDowellMalcolm McDowell is headed back to the small screen -- this time, on the hit CBS procedural 'The Mentalist.' The 'Clockwork Orange' star will play the leader of a religious cult in the episode that will presumably air some time this season. McDowell previously had roles on 'Heroes' and 'Entourage.' Gillian ZinserGillian Zinser will be sticking around '90210' a bit longer, as it's being reported that the actress -- who plays Ivy on the hit CW series -- has just been promoted to series regular. Zinser joined the show earlier this season. [Hollywood Reporter]
