Anderson CooperIf Sarah Palin decides to run for President in 2012, those tough questions about newspapers and Supreme Court cases may be coming from Anderson Cooper instead of Katie Couric.

According to the NY Times, CBS reportedly met with the popular CNN host a few months ago to discuss potential anchor opportunities at the network. Although full details about the meeting have yet to be revealed, the timing is nonetheless interesting, considering that Couric's five-year contract with the network ends in mid-2011.

Cooper is already a familiar face to Eye viewers as a contributor to the prime time news program '60 Minutes.'

UPDATE: A rep for CNN has since denied the report.
