The Next 'Bachelorette' Is Ali Fedotowsky

by Andrew Scott, posted Mar 1st 2010 11:30PM
As if the 'Bachelor' finale and the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 10 cast reveal weren't enough surprises for one night, ABC has announced that Ali Fedotowsky of 'The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love' will be the next 'Bachelorette.'

"I'm so excited," she told Chris Harrison during the reunion special, 'After the Final Rose.' "I'm so thrilled, and honored and grateful."
The bubbly 25-year-old from San Francisco became an instant frontrunner to be the 'Bachelorette' the moment she chose to return to her job at Facebook over potential love with 'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka. He went on to choose Vienna Girardi, and the couple is now engaged.

"When I found out, when I was even first approached, I kind of felt a little scared at first, and I almost went right back to how I felt when I had to make the decision with Jake," Fedotowsky told Harrison. "And I just realized ... I'm not gonna let my fear dictate my life anymore, and I just need to go for it ... I want to find someone, and I want to be in love, and I want to get married, and have kids and all of that, and this is my chance. So, I'm not gonna make the same mistake I made last time. I'm going for it."

As for the type of guy she's looking for, Ali said, "I want a funny, smart, kind of quirky guy. Really, in general, though, I don't really need anything in particular. I'm not really even looking for a particular type of guy; I'm looking for a feeling, and I think I'll know that pretty soon."

The next season of 'Bachelorette' should premiere later this year.
