Miss AmericaOnce again, Miss America is without a home.

The Wrap is reporting that cable network TLC has decided not to renew its deal with the 89-year-old pageant.

"This year we delivered record ratings, besting any of it's prior performances on cable. However, our three year deal has concluded and we have chosen not to renew. We wish the Miss America Organization well," TLC said in a statement, according to the Wrap.Miss AmericaOnce again, Miss America is without a home.

The Wrap is reporting that cable network TLC has decided not to renew its deal with the 89-year-old pageant.

"This year we delivered record ratings, besting any of it's prior performances on cable. However, our three year deal has concluded and we have chosen not to renew. We wish the Miss America Organization well," TLC said in a statement, according to the Wrap.

The news is a bit surprising, considering that this year's pageant did indeed pull in record numbers. The show was reportedly seen by 4.5 million viewers in January, up about a million viewers from the previous year (3.54 million viewers) and over two million from 2007 (2.39 million) when it aired on CMT.

Still, as the Live Feed points out, even record ratings weren't enough to make a substantial profit for TLC.

Miss America has shuffled across numerous networks over the years, including NBC, CBS, ABC, CMT and, of course, TLC. No word yet on which network will save the telecast this time.
