This sets off Shepherd, who comes to Johnston's defense and says that his recent pictorial in Playgirl counts as legitimate work.

"He does have a job," Shepherd said. "If he goes and he poses for Playgirl and he's making money, that is a job. He is in the entertainer field."

"Sherri, that ends in a year, if that," Walters responds, pointing out that Johnston's Playgirl spread doesn't qualify as steady employment.

Joy Behar agrees with Walters. "That's not a job," she said. "That's an event."
