What to Watch: March 3

by Kim Potts, posted Mar 3rd 2010 6:00AM
'Nip/Tuck' (10PM, FX) series finale
Minor spoiler alert: If you were expecting some over-the-top finale for our favorite Beverly Hills plastic surgeons, you're going to be surprised. Instead, the Emmy-winning drama, created by 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy, wraps up with storylines that are true to the characters we've come to know and love for six seasons. For Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) that will mean tough decisions about the future of McNamara/Troy, while Liz continues to celebrate her pregnancy and make plans for her own future. The good doctors also have a big family dinner before Julia takes the kids to Europe and perform a cosmetic procedure on a senior citizen porn star, while both Sean and Christian try to keep Matt from making another colossally bad decision about the evil Ava (Famke Janssen).'Nip/Tuck' (10PM, FX) series finale

'The Middle' – Poor hapless Sue; she thinks she's getting a big birthday celebration, but her 'rents have gone all 'Sixteen Candles' on her while focusing on Brick's spelling bee. (8:30PM, ABC)

'Ghost Hunters' – The TAPS team not only open a new season, but also celebrate their 100th episode with a trip to Alcatraz. (9PM, SyFy) season 6 premiere

'Law & Order: SVU' – It's a D-list guest star jackpot, as Kathy Griffin plays the leader of a lesbian rights group (and lays a big ol' kiss on Olivia!), while Mischa Barton plays a hooker (or, as Ralph Cifaretto would have said on 'The Sopranos,' a whoo-er). (9PM, NBC)

'Modern Family' – Remember how Phil is afraid of clowns? Well, tonight's installment isn't going to do much to boost his image as a macho guy when his backyard camping adventure with Luke is threatened by Phil's aversion to bugs and the dark. (9PM, ABC)

'High School Reunion' – It's prom night, and you KNOW that means drama! (10PM, TV Land) season 3 finale

'The Locator' – Troy's back for another season of tearjerking reunions, including a daughter with the father who disappeared, without explanation, 35 years ago. (10PM, WE) season 4 premiere

'Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special' – The Big O hosts as celebs interview each other. Among the pairings: 'Fatal Attraction' co-stars Michael Douglas and Glenn Close and James Cameron and the stars of his 'Avatar.' (10PM, ABC)
